The Tasmanian Council of Churches (TCC) is a fellowship of Christian Churches in Tasmania committed to the promotion of Christian unity. The TCC is an autonomous body with policies decided by the seven Member Churches.
We serve to further Christian unity as the Churches minister in a variety of ways, mainly through the work of our commissions and the collaborative efforts of our Member Churches and Associated Member Bodies. For example, following the January 2013 Bushfires, we formalised the TCC Emergencies Ministry. The latest issue of our newsletter, Oikoumene, can be found HERE.
The TCC is affiliated with the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA), through which we maintain good relations with other State ecumenical bodies around Australia, the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) and the World Council of Churches (WCC).

April 2016 marked the 70th Anniversary of the Tasmanian Council of Churches. To mark the occasion, the TCC Executive met in Evandale in Northern Tasmania, the town where in 1946 the TCC began. Mrs Jill Waddle kindly decorated our anniversary cake for the occasion.
Our thanks to the churches of Evandale, in particular the ecumenical Marginata Faith Community, for their generous hosting of this event.
